INR 65,000 crore fertiliser subsidy announced by the govt

The Finance Minister has announced a INR 65,000 crore fertilizer subsidy in the upcoming crop season for farmers to enable timely availability of fertilisers. This is in continuation to the third set of stimulus package to boost the economy. The announcement is in addition to Rs 71,309 crore budgeted to be disbursed during FY21. The subsidy will help 140 million farmers of the country.
