Pakistan-China joint air exercise begins

A joint exercise between the two “close-friends” has commenced for the 9th consecutive time. The exercise is known as Shaheen-IX which now is the 9th in the series of joint air exercises which is conducted each year in both Pakistan and China on alternate turns. A contingent of People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) comprising combat pilots, air defence controllers and is participating in the joint exercise. The inaugurating ceremony of the exercise was jointly witnessed by Air Vice Marshal Waqas Ahmed Sulehri, PAF, and Major General Sun Hong, Assistant Chief of Staff, PLAAF.
