NITI Aayog released a White Paper Vision 2035 for Public health surveillance in India in continuation to the efforts to strengthen the health system. It envisions individual electronic health records as the basis for surveillance. It will inform about disease prevention and control measures, will be a sort of early warning system, guide about health policies and strategies. It will help to understand and monitor the epidemiology of diseases.
