Following the heated clashes at India- China border, the Government of India has banned 118 more Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile.
PUBG MOBILE and 117 other applications have been banned under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, on grounds that “they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”. It is the second time Government has taken a strong step of banning Chinese origin applications, the first time on 29th June, 2020 where the GOI banned popular mobile applications like TikTok, SheIN and CamScanner.
