The Central Bank of India on November 6 reported over 20 percent increase in its net profit at Rs 161 crore for the second quarter which ended on September 30. The bank had recorded a net profit of Rs 134 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Its total income grew almost by 2 percent to Rs 6,833.94 crore during July-September 2020, against Rs 6,703.71 crore in the same period,last year. The Bank also improved the performance on its bad assets ratio with the gross non-performing assets (NPAs) falling to 17.36 percent of gross advances by the end of September 2020.
