The Haryana government has sealed its border with the state of Punjab in order to block the farmers in their protest against the recent farm bills passed by the central government. The chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the state will be sealing its border with Punjab on November 26 and 27. Some protesters were taken into police custody and this move has grabbed a lot of criticism from the opposition. The chief minister has clearly mentioned in his statement that “strict measures will be taken, in order to maintain law and order in the state”.
