Sandes- India’s new instant messaging platform

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has launched an instant messaging platform called ‘Sandes’ similar to WhatsApp. It requires a mobile number or an email id to get registered with the app and can be used for any type of communications by anyone. This app does not have an option to transfer chat history between two platforms but can be backed up with a users’ email.
